No problem here - I can see five.
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Sorry guys, it seems it's just one of those days on xs.to and I do not have access to any other image hosting sites from work. Hopefully the images will become visible for all soon.

I really like the ferdy, but it could be a different color perhaps.

Or is it like the cobra, where it has random colors?

Also the sidewinder should look a bit more utilitarian IMHo, like the boa.
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

What kind of rig does it take to get that in Oolite?

That's from a 4-year old Dell Latitude D630 laptop with Intel CoreDuo 1.7GHz, 2GB RAM and Intel X3100 card with GM965 graphics chipset (512MB VideoRAM and appropriate GLSL supporting drivers), i.e. not a high-end one.

Agreed - that is one of the most beautiful images I have ever seen.

<sob>

Actually, that would be a fantastic piece of box art.

Is that two suns or just some clever lens flare? As I thought you could only get one sun in a system.

They are explosions shot at the precisely right moment (TAF of x1/16 can do wonders, you know ;-) )

Oh brave new world, that has such screenshots in it!

Selezen's right, it would make a fantastic piece of box art. And it's an in-game screenshot – not some carefully rendered artist's impression of what the game might look like if only it was better made. I can think of numerous commercial games manufacturers who should be brought to this thread and made to explain themselves!

Didn't really want to swap from the Cadudeus but just had to try it...

@Tivva,
Want to see what it's really capable of? Have Thargoid Threat installed, misjump, and use it to hammer the snot out of those Bugs.
Thargoids don't know fear, but by the time you're done with them, they'll know what respect means. :twisted:
