Two things

Post by Xexedi »

Well 3 things acutely.
Firstly so glad to see a place like this :D
It warms my hart :D

I just recently re-descoved my all time favorite game Elite frontier.

I am fast getting addicted again. Well Its to late my life is over as I know it be for. I am already a lost course and have got to a rating of dangerous in just 3 days :D

Seascend thing is am not able to use my galactic hyperspace to jump to another galaxy. Ive looked in some help decks on de old inter-webs and am pretty sure am praising the right key (G) so maybe its a fault in the downloaded game am using?

Thirdly I did have a mission offered to me but did not write down the relevant info. Is there a way I can look back at the mission that was offered to me?

Also my apologies if I have posted this in wrong place.

Welcome to the Forums.

I will presume you've already handed over the 5K Creds needed to buy a Galactic Hyperdrive if the answer is "yes" then CTRL+H* will advance you to the next Galactic Chart.

Good luck

* Or is it SHIFT+H? Late night last night, brain not well today - anyway it's one of those!

Hi Xexedi ... hope that deadly disease isn't scouring you too much! :D As regards the mission, I'm assuming, from the combination of Galactic Hyperspace and newly-acquired Dangerous ranking, it's most likely the Constrictor hunt. You need to track down a stolen warship in Galaxy 2. If this is the one, you need to look around the planets in Galaxy 2 for any news of sightings of "strange ships" and the like. Check the F7 planet info screen regularly – that's where you'll hear any rumours. Then it's just a matter of hunting it down and blowing it away ...

Oh thanks for that info.
That dose sound about right to what I can remember reading.

xexedi is most noted for the xexedian mountains and slugs and mud tennis.
But I like it cos its rich and has a good tech level. so good for buying equipment and has a poor close neighbor that's good for trading with. Good to get credit up when needed. As I need right now has I just been fro all 8 Galaxys :D

I think I should have moor luck in finding that stolen warship now I have a better clue where to look for it =)

that thing takes FOREVER to find.
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

Tell me about it lol

Am deadly now but Ive not been able to find that warship anywhere.

It doesn't help that I cant remember the name of the planet. Only that it began with an "L"

I have looked all around galaxy 2 but with no luck.

Anyway this game is still kick ass :D

Just look at the planetinfo screen (F7) at every station you're docked with.

And you should be staying roughly in the middle of the galactic chart.

You could of course also dig out one of the many old threads here that deal with the lost Constrictor. Like for instance this one here.

I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!
