I'm wondering if anyone knows how to take Far Star out of RS?

Same way as taking anything else out of it: Deleting its shipdata.plist entry (and shipyard.plist entry).

Lestradae has posted the manual how to do that a couple of times around here. Probably it's even part of the readMe?

And the Far Sun is not (yet

) part of RS/OSE ... you'll have to wait for the Oolite Deathstars Expansion for that! Then you can have your own sun and keep it, even fly around with it!

Just look in your AddOns folder, find the farsun directory (or oxp icon on a mac) and delete it!

No fuss, no muss!
