2 quick questions

Post by DkryptX »

Hey I was curious how do you clear an offender/fugitive status? and also I was looking at playing oolite with an xbox360 controller hooked up to my PC, I was curious anyone have any idea what to do for a layout, sort of clueless*what each button does*. Any input would be great, thanks.

To clear an Offender/Fugitive status you need to be on your best behaviour for a while and jump around a lot - your status has a memory the more you jump around the quicker your previous transgressions are forgotten.

Or

buy an escape pod and eject

Or

Install (I think) the Hacker Outpost OXP and find said outpost and they can hack your status for a fee back to clean.

as for your controller - not usre of your OS but under Linux when docked I press F2(?? I think) and bring up the control menu and there's also a joystick mapper in there and on my Thrustmaster Firestorm 2 Dual analogue controller I've got acc/dec, yaw, ecm, injectors all attached to various buttons on the pad - works very well.

And Salvage Gangs as well, which can do the same service to you.

You'll find all relevant information, including the download link, >in the WIKI<.

Galactic Hyperspace also clears status.
Anarchies OXP sustains fugitive status for longer (unless you pay to have it "cleared"), and might carry it over from one galaxy to the next? Not sure. But I think so..

You can always hack the save file since Oolite is free source. Search for "legal status" in your text editor and change the number at the bottom to "0". Load your game back after that.

Maybe you should add a few CR and upgrades while you're at it too?
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.
