Cool forum.

Perhaps you'd like to cast your eye over this (happy if you think its worthwhile for it to be shared amongst your fellow followers of the Great A'Tuin): http://www.wordwatchers.net/TheyCame.htm - I wrote it a long time ago (just after Guards! Guards! in fact)

Like it, although in a couple of places I think it needs a little editorial tweaking (a few of your sentences don't actually make proper sense if you read them through).

I've posted it in our literature section, let's see what the masses think of it.

Hi DH.
Do you need an editor?
I would advise stilts for the quagmires, and camels for the snowy hills
And any survivors, their debts I will certainly pay. There's always a way!

Thanks for the offer, but I'm a member of a writer's circle (hence the Wordwatchers website) who are quite willing to shred and spit out most of my work (although I have kept Lazarus from them!) this just happens to be one story that went on to the website 'as is' when I first joined and they wanted some of my work to put in the 'shop window' so to speak. To be honest, having scanned back over it, it may have never been edited! Put that on the 'to do' list post Lazarus...

DH, it wasn’t actually an offer – more like advice, really.
Writers don’t always make good editors.

Regards.

... Oh.

And, but, it's still here! :?

Still of the opinion the admins could take on more people willing to do patrol duty here - there didn't seem to be any lack of volunteers ...

Unfortunately there aren't any admins around, reading these posts to know that there are volunteers ready to take on the duties...

I don't feel like PM'ing Ahruman either - he's clearly having a definite break from Oolite (as he's still very active in Twitter and on his own site).

Then I do hope that if and when the time comes for people in important positions for Oolite they do bother to choose / arrange sucessors for their work!

I doubt that there would be a scarcity of interested people 8)

Perhaps not interested people, but there is a serious shortage of people with the skills to replace the top of the dev team. I would love to step up and play a significant role, but I am not in a position to do so
