Flight Training Test

When pausing Oolite - I imagine that I am some persona other than the commander on these occasions - the screen shows the caption "Flight Training Test Engaged" particularly when the full screen display is reduced to normal screen size display.

Does this have any significance?

Sorry never seen that, Mine says;
F2 for options or P to return to game

Yes, my screen display says that too, but when I exit full-screen-mode, the reduced sized display adds the flight-training message, like this:

............ Game paused
Press F2 for options, P to resume
. Flight Training Test Engaged

(that is the "normal" - i.e. other than full-screen - display message)
(the full-screen-display is the same but without the FlightTrainingTest bit)
