BENULOBIWEED exquisite engineering

Post by Zbond-Zbond »

size is unimportant
speed is everything!
and reading the Benulobiweed case history is fraught with interest

zooming on fire to their distribution network I rush

and their lovely Falcon in see-through paint seduces me without lipstick

some of their other models warrant a test flight, too, and I've been trying to get hold of a Pallas (amongst others) for a while -- without success

does any other commander have one of these?

I don't know whether it's possible to leave one on this bulletin board for download, or what other methods to obtain a Pallas might exist? but I can't get this OXP from Box.net (where it is supposed to be hosted) and am therefore, of course, frantic with desire to steal one

I am also prepared to NOT steal one -- a novel concept, yes; but I'm that far gone..

What about Realistic Shipyards?

You can download it from the page in my signature; all the ships you are asking about are in there - with a lot of bugs of the original oxps they came from fixed, that is.

Just saying.

Thanks for recommendation. I have downloaded RS but it contains too many other ships that I either don't want, or which won't run on my iMac.

I've tried taking out the stuff I don't want, but there is such a lot, and I can't tell which files are essential for RS to run, without taking them out one by one and re-starting Oolite to see what happens.

Pallas hasn't turned up for sale anywhere yet in the past couple of months, anyway.

Try this link.

http://www.box.net/public/b2tic3tjsk#1:4083657

Or This

http://www.box.net/public/b2tic3tjsk#f4083657

Then click on "Ships"

Hope that helps

Thank-you for your suggestions, which are appreciated.

I have tried the links, but neither of them will work.

The 1st link is a new one with << #f4083657 >>
replaced by << #1:4083657 >>

The 2nd is one that many shipOXP's are linked to, but which I can't ever get to work.

Other box.net links work fine, but this one either gives me a long message displayed for about a quarter of a second, which I can only read if I screenshot it and read (the top part, anyway) later - it mentions a firewall (which doesn't affect other box.net files uploaded to me immediately before and afterwards) - or displays a short message announcing that the files have been removed.

I can't work out how to add a screenshot here so will just type the message; it might mean something to somebody:

This shared file or folder has been removed. If you feel this is by mistake, please email either the owner of this shared file/folder or email [email protected] for Box.net Technical Support.

Please visit www.Box.net to share your own files online.

Typing the above it occurs to me that the problem might be that I am trying to download a folder rather than a single file?

You need to click the

Code: Select all

download
link by the file you want. Are you doing something else (right click save or something)?

Cheers everyone for your suggestions re. Box.net & support re. Pallas ship.

As regards Box.net, there is no list of anything when looking for SOME files. There is just a headed - but otherwise blank - page. I can't click on anything because there is nothing to click on.

As regards mouse clicking, I just do the same as I do (up to the blank page display) when successfully downloading files from Box.net.

The problem always arises with the file ending
<< ......public/b2tic3tjsk#f4083657 >> (and also if << #1: >> is
substituted for << #f >>)

It might be a problem with my computer, but I can't see why it would single out this file for special treatment unless there was something different about the file?

But am gradually getting buzzed by more Benulobiweed craft, whose products are a joy for eye and ear and brane

It hasn't kept me out of anywhere yet.. but if it tried I'd set up a proxy with an encrypted tunnel on my rental server in the States..

Edit to add... hmm.. I wonder if the Great Firewall was why I had to use Tor in order to see msnbc.msn.com pages?
