Yeah just as I thought, it's like trying to make informed political and social commentary on the way specifically coloured hundreds and thousands fall on a fairy cake.
OK so according to this:
http://files.getdropbox.com/u/1380916/O ... a%20v3.pdf
Cats on the right, lizards on the left, yes?
ok we have a nice cat trail running from 16, 80, 144, 105, 206, 233
and a nice circuit around the bottom right for the reptiles. I'm not sure eather of them could technically be called a "region" though.
We have a race schism in gal centre (that would explain a few things). and in the star league. At best I think we can squeeze 2 routes out of it, what do people think?

You'll get no complaints from me - making sense out of G4 is like trying to nail jelly to the wall*

Well all I ever said was that there was a bias. If you go with my regions theory then the volume that is sector 4 is embedded in or near the boundary of the two species. Therefore there would be many non-GalCop worlds off the map (and maybe some inside it) that are one species or the other (felines or lizard) but tightly delineated. I had also suggested that GalCop had a free for all colonisation policy within sector 4. Combine the two ideas and you have all 9 species all over sector 4 but because of the regions outside the lizard and feline worlds are biasely placed.ClymAngus wrote:I'm not sure eather of them could technically be called a "region" though.
What is? I was proposing to link the spreadsheet into the wiki myself. Is there something I should be aware of?ClymAngus wrote:Nice idea, but beyond my current remit
@Nemoricus
Excellent work. When you point out the errors are those coming from the spreadsheet or elsewhere? I am hoping my spreadsheet isn't buggy.

Those errors were in ClymAngus's information. However, if the planet numbers came from your spreadsheet, Gertior is incorrectly listed as 76. It's 73.
That map took me no more than fifteen minutes to make using MS Paint. Really, it's nothing much. ClymAngus's map was very useful in making mine, though.

Nope it's listed as 73 on my spreadsheet but then it does calculate everything so I was surprised and worried by the errors.Nemoricus wrote:Those errors were in ClymAngus's information. However, if the planet numbers came from your spreadsheet, Gertior is incorrectly listed as 76. It's 73.

Sweet - I like "The Cakewalk"
BTW, "Sanctuaries" is plural - did you mean "Sanctuary's"?
How you found any routes this Lord only knows! Bravo!

In the G4 Credits, you've spelled Ahruman as Ahuman. (which he may well be, but one never knows... )
Also, G3 Credits still list P.A. Groove as Pagroove.

Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

I like the way the species specific routes take in at least one war zone each. Making them possible refugee trails and repatriation routes.PhantorGorth wrote:Well you could argue a lot has happened here.

So year you have turmoil going on in several different levels here. It's a meat grinder.

Trade with other galaxies would be fairly limited any way. It's an expensive 5000 Cr investment for one jump. One jump. That's it. Also, travel is one way, so you have to be able to make a significant profit in all eight galaxies in order to make intergalactic trade worthwhile.
