Guys, the ship has already a "reflective surface" effect and it looks as polished as it gets, but you need to see it in motion to realize it. I don't think more shininess will be needed, really.

Fair enough - roll on the trunk becoming the standard game...

Given the rate at which bugs are being hunted down and slaughtered on other threads atm, that may not be far off! (hoping) :D
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Can I just ask who is responsible for some of these fabulous screenshots making it into our shop window (i.e. the Gallery of the Oolite website) - it might even be work one or two piccies appearing actually on the index page (which is otherwise not particularly inspiring and certainly doesn't do this beautiful game justice - and I know the argument about plain and simple for the small percentage still on dial up, but, nevertheless...)

According to the whois lookup I just did, oolite.org is owned by Ahruman.
