Strange sun

Post by prallo »

I am using the 1.73 Oolite trunk version.
Is this normal that the suns look like suns without flares ? Only strange colors around the suns.

Sorry for the small pic but I don´t know how to make it bigger.

Sun looks like this for me:

Corona colors might differ depending on which system you are in.

I think you've linked to the thumbnail not the actual image you have online.

Can't help with the trunk sun problem thought, sorry.

Fixed it for you.. (removed the ".th" from the filename and it worked)
That looks perfectly normal to me.. you won't see much corona until you get closer, (those 'strange colours' ARE the corona) and as for the colour, suns come in several different colours. To the best of my knowledge, the suns in Oolite don't have 'flares' as such...
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied

Anyone else get the unnerving feeling the planet is watching you, from that combination of planet and HUD?
