One more before I go to bed...
I thought of another food related adjective!

Argh. I vote for removing the "W" ad. I now have to disable YAH because I want to fly from Tiacein to Diriceen in G4, but I had the Futurama-stunt 7 times in a row. I guess it's not possible to survive that trip with YAH installed
The "W"-ads are pretty much unreadable anyway, because if they don't kill you, you won't see them. It'd be more useful to have them a little bit towards the planet from there, so that the ships pilots actually can see them after they exit witchspace...

It's weird - I know I don't play much anymore but I have never hit a YAH-based W-buoy when witching into a system...

I've come within a hair of crashing into one.. came out of witchspace and found the screen full of ad. I had to haul on the brakes PDQ to avoid a spacebar moment...
Most games have some sort of paddling-pool-and-water-wings beginning to ease you in: Oolite takes the rather more Darwinian approach of heaving you straight into the ocean, often with a brick or two in your pockets for luck. ~ Disembodied
Never had that...but with the ads it happens that I either are dead directly upon witchspace exit, or that I exit and then are hit (and killed) by the rotating ad before I can fly away. That thing yesterday was instant death after witchspace exit.Nemoricus wrote:A thought. Perhaps there's also a chance that this could occur with the standard Witchspace buoy?
Something similar happened with generation ships, which I also had to take out. They most often were placed right atop of my ship, killing me instantly. Very seldom there was enough room to carefully fly away, but in those cases the Thargoids hit the generation ships, which then jump away (they shouldn't be able to do that!) and their witchspace bubble is so big that it took me with them. Typically I was then dead upon exiting the second witchspace...survival rates with a Merlin were much better than with a Caduceus in those incidents.

I have this problem everytime I see the Ensign Hawt ad.Nemoricus wrote:I may have been a little distracted at the time.
Apparently, there has been rumours flying around about this bank trying to clinch a major sponsorship deal with the ring racing league.
EDIT: Tidy up job done to ad.

I have a tendency to read or do something else while I'm waiting for the Witchspace countdown to finish. Sometimes I take a moment to get back to the game.gogz69 wrote:I have this problem everytime I see the Ensign Hawt ad.Nemoricus wrote:I may have been a little distracted at the time.

Had plenty of time to look at the adverts while a procession involving very expensive motorcars took place at Silverstone...
I picked this one...

Well I am back (at least partially) and I am wondering who I have to thank for putting ver 4 of your ad here to the wiki.
Still i have to update the links for the oohaul (ver 1.6) and the trade outpost (ver 1.1).
I will try to do this today if i manage to reopen my wiki account (also lost in the wiki crash some months ago with the updates mentioned above)
Any news from the doc???
