Formal request for Oolite Fiction Forum section

Post by drew »

We, the aforementioned*, do petition the Tionisla Oolite Bulletin Board Corporation for our own special corner of the Ooniverse.

Yes, we know we're useless because we can't make a 3D model for toffee, yes most of us don't know a PLIST from a night out with too much beer and none of us understand what a shader is other than it means we've got a half decent computer.

Nevertheless! We offer to all what we can. Often we're beset with a full spec grammar laser, the harsh burst of a ECM proof critic, but we keep coming back, a bit like a trumble... no scratch that...

We feel it is right and proper so to do, and will likely have a paddy fit or a minor strop and a sulk if our request is not carried out. Either that or a Q-Bomb under your bed covers tends to get the message across if you get our drift.

We believe that this will foster more content, improve the ability to find stuff, definitely include more Captain Hesperus jokes, and allow peace, joy, love, micky taking and credits to spread throughout the Ooniverse.

We've been trying our hardest to inform, delight and entertain you these last few years, and we're damned if we're going to stop now.

So, how about it chaps?

Signed,

The aforementioned*.

To completely murder a line (or two) from the Great TP:

"The pen is mightier than the sword, but only if the sword is short and the pen is very sharp".

Where do I sign?

Forum created, if a few threads can be pointed out, then they can be moved...

Well, there's Drew's sticky, for Status Quo and Mutabilis, here.

There's the Calliope thread, in shameless self-promotion mode.

There are several threads for chapters of Rise of the Kirin. The latest chapter is here, and there are others here, here, here, here, here, here, here, here and here.

And there's the venerable Commander Munchausen thread and the positively senile traveller's tales thread...

I couldn't resist - I already snipped the ribbon and rushed through the door - the new Forum still smells of paint but looks good and roomy. Might even set up a stall myself - somewhere I started a story about a sickly Cobra MkIII

Wow!

Wasn't expecting a result that quick! Many humble floor scraping bows of 'At your service, M'luds'

Thanks Aegidian! Much appreciated.

Can I suggust the 'Justice for Mrs. Coombs' sage is moved too? There is also my 'Schism' threads.

Cheers,

Drew.
