hello dear community
i just have a question
is it possible under any circumstance to fly the navy frig?
how can you edit oxps? which program do you use to create them and how can you add new ships to the shiplist?
btw the plasmaturrets how and where are they created to be autoturrets? how do you add them to the ships? and why in gods name am i no programmer
maybe i am total stupid but wings3d is just not my type of shipcreator
just to strange and complicated........is there maybe an other simpler prog?
thanks

Just to translate: osi79 wants to know if he/she can fly a navy frigate.
IIRC, you can fly large ships with the Realistic Shipyards OXP.
However, I would not recommend this until you get really bored with all other options in OOlite.
Best wishes,
Oscar

Hi osi79,
First: Welcome to the Oolite boards!
You can't fly a Navy Frigate in Realistic Shipyards, it might be that you can in its successor, OSE, which will become fully playable perhaps autumn this year.
If Realistic Shipyards is your thing, is every one's decision. If you like to have a lot of ships in one go in your game, and more and different things going on shipswise, it might be for you. If you are rather picky about what to have in your game, perhaps not.
There is a similar ship that you can fly, the Juggernaut, but its cost is somewhere beyond 10 million credits if I'm not mistaken.
Have fun with Oolite whatever way you want to,
L

yes i could edit the savegame
oh yes i got somewhat tired of the original oolite for i ohmygod played my brain out when i was 14 to 24 with the original elite
the realistic shipyard is great in my eyes i love it.....
some functions could be taken from xwing alliance g like the turrets just hop in and blast everything thats in your way
well that would be a nice combination oolite and xwing alliance and for big battles do you remember the battlesimulator in the game rebellion from lucas arts? just great do anyone know if there is just an other similar game out there??

FreeSpace Open might be the thing for you. You can't fly the big ships (yet), but you can shoot them into little bits.
