Running the 1.72 developer package on linux downloaded from berlios site.
What happens:
Start game,
Load old commander? N
Press F1 to launch: launch happens , then system freezes and no button press will work except for the dreaded power key, or the B of the alt-sysreq-R,E,I,S,U,B sequence to reset a linux system
I've also had it freeze when entering the game and just clicking around the trading/equipment menu, after a few seconds of starting.
Repeatable? Yes, every time. I've stopped trying now after 6 or 7 attempts since i'm worried about the hard reboots.
Did it ever work? i'm sure it worked the previous day, when i first installed it.
The system
Latitude D630 Core 2 Duo, 2GB RAM, Ubuntu 8.04.
graphics card: intel mobile GM965
I've removed the 1.72 version (along with the .Oolite folder) and reinstalled it, with or without OXPs.
Latest.log is unremarkable to me, but attaching anyway.
