Ships page on the Wiki is VERY outdated

Just pointing at a growing problem. With lots of new ships and current ships in development this page:

http://wiki.alioth.net/index.php/Oolite_Ships

is outdated on many OXP ships. I also found out that a lot of ships are missing descriptions.
What are we gonna do about that? I assume testing all ships with missing descriptions and then writing something about it. Completing/updating the page. Suggestions?

Think Dr Nill updated it a few years ago. Where there wasn't a description of the ship he left a subb page, for anybody who fancied later to write a back story for it. In board moments i've done a few for backstories for the Tiger, Griff Krait, and HoOpy casino and Captain H did a few for some of the assassins ships, but anybody is welcome to write up a few ship reviews. Its pretty easy to do, just need to think up some semi-plausable story to the ship!

Just a little note to say that, as a newbie, I *really* liked the ship descriptions on the wiki and all the back story material. And still do - it adds a lot to the enjoyment of the game. Even better if the ship specs etc. were up to date. Could ship specs be extracted automatically from a central store of OXPs and the wiki updated that way?

More descriptions would be great, especially if they're roughly in keeping and accurate, even better if they provide a useful titbit that the player can actually use in the game.

I agree. There are however a lot ships that don't have any descriptions:

Without description:

Standard ships

- Shuttle
- Viper interceptor

OXP ships
A-wing
Aphid
B-wing
Bandy Bandy Courier
Basilisk
Bushmaster Miner
Capisastra Defender (weird thing BTW)
Capisastra Hauler (weird thing BTW)
Capisastra Warrior (weird thing BTW)
Car Mk1
Chameleon (Oolite)
Chuckwalla
Condor
Drake
Drake MKII (remember being a nasty pirate

etc etc

In my opinion ships without a proper description don't belong on the WIKI. Maybe I'm a bith harsh. Take the Star Wars Ships as an example. I'don't like Star Wars Ships in an Oolite setting but when there's no description to link them to the Ooniverse. I think the ships need a clear explanation how they did get in the Oonivers in the first place. Such things belong on the WIKI

And yes.. By saying this I obligate myself to update all the information on the Famous Planets 2.0 oxp too which I will do in the near future.

Well, I don't like the wing-ships in either, however I've seen quite long stories about the Condor, Falcon and such and how they came into the Ooniverse!

I think it was Charlie wo designed them. Can anyboy put these stories on the Wiki? Like earlier mentioned: Can anybody who flies one ot the ships with no description on the WIKI write a nice review of it?

Aren’t they those joke 3D Space invader things? Should they even be in the wiki? If so then maybe the Santa with his sleigh should be included as well?

Maybe to have more categories on the ships page:

-Oolite ships
-OXP ships categories: devided in:- Ooniverse ships, Joke ships, experimentals etc..
