arrived in system... went to station... refueled etc... off to see the pulsar... following the liners etc all very nice... loads of adverts etc...
then it gets weird...
halfway there up pops a ship which says "Rebecca - I dont like scum like you" or something like that and proceeds to kill me a lot in short order...press space commander?????
how does the game know my real name? is this a joke/easter egg or something? my commander name is DeVille...
ok... so i am a fugitive but i was behaving myself at the time despite the tempation of seeing how adverts respond to a qbomb...maybe i have a price on my head?
im back at Anle now as i hadnt saved my game!

A fugitive behaving herself is still a fugitive ... there's gong to be a price on your head wherever you go until you manage to get Clean again! As to how the game knows your real name, that I don't know. Perhaps if you have the right OXPs installed the game starts to achieve sentience?

Rebecca is the name of the main character in both of Drew's short stories. Havent looked at the code, but maybe he's included her name in a hail. Maybe the message was FROM Rebecca (who lives in that system). She is in the story a bounty hunter, so it would make sense for her to attack criminals like you!

found the ship though .... look! im not going nuts!!!!! you were right.. it was a 'Rebecca' not aimed at me specificallly..
it seems to always be in the same place.... just short of the halfway adboards in the tianve system.... approach with caution... shes obviously more dangerous than me!!!!!
