One observation: Attacking the station with lasers causes it to launch defenses, as we expect. Using rapid fire turret weaponry results in no defense ship launches, unless the turret stops for a breath, at which point the station can launch fighters. In my tests, i was shooting using turrets for ages and ages without any Viper coming out to see what's going on. I stopped firing for a while, one came out. I restarted with the turrets, no more could come out. As soon as I stopped, they were launched normally again.
Exactly the same thing happened while testing with 1.72.2.

For the GriffBoa test I had the torus station and for the Caduceus it's some modified built-in model...must be from PAGroove stations.Kaks wrote:unless... hmm, wait! The stations you're having problems with are from an OXP, aren't they?

Taking the turrets offline for a few seconds causes the station to launch multiple defenders.
The oxp's for station looks don't influence this.
