Stop showing off! Mac pro?
2.4 ghz IMac w/2gb memory. Gets about 60fps in fullscreen, 100 in a small window.

8 gb ram you say? Do you mind if you wake up one day and your computer is gone?
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

   ...hhhmmmm...must nip out in the Cobra III and lay some more mines... 8)

The Mac Pro was my retirement present to myself, I doubt that I will be able to replace it in the foreseeable future, so I tried to make it count!!

I've kept my previous Macs, as I do some Beta testing across a range of Macs for some software peoples.
Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...

High end is everything up from 2GB mem and so on. I don't know if I can change the poll options. I don't see an edit button.
I have interpreted and applied your wishes. :-)

I don't know if anyone ever did a poll on what sort of systems we've got. Are you playing on a new system, pc or mac? Vote here. I do this to give the developers a clear view of the user base of Oolite.
I'm playing on a system I built myself over four years ago.

Inside a generic beige mid-tower computer case are the following items; ASUS K8N motherboard, AMD Sempron 3100+(1.8ghz) C.P.U., 1gb RAM, eVGA 5500FX 256mb AGP video card, two WD120gb SATA drives in RAID 0 (striping), 450w power supply with the Windows XP Home Edition operating system.

I'm running a new iMac:

4Gb Ram
2.8Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
24" Cinema Display (hardware accelerated)

It does the job for me. Respect to those who build their own, though . . .
Its bad luck to be superstitious . . .

Apparently I vaguely belong to the High End Category.

A Compaq laptop running: Turion 64X2 TL-50 dual core running at 1.6Gz, 2 GB ram, integrated nVidia 6150 Go graphics max'ed to 128MB dedicated. Yes it is running Vista, but I have more software issues because it's a laptop than the OS. A lot of software seems to hate the idea of shared memory for the graphics systems. I run Oolite at 640x480 resolution for 60+FPS with OXPs like Real Shipyards installed. The vanilla version I use for the manual work runs 40+FPS at 1280x800 (my laptop's native resolution.)

E8400 Wolfdale (3.0GHZ Core 2 Duo).
Asus P5Q Deluxe
4GB RAM
Nvidia 8600GTS 512MB
22" widesceen LCD

I get 60ish FPS with 70 OXPs loaded and watching classic SciFi movies on my second monitor for atmosphere.

The GPU is weakest link in my rig at the moment, but it's going to have to stay that way until I can afford an upgrade. The mobo will support 2 ATI cars in crossfire. That should do just fine for anything Oolite can throw at it.
