You're right, you're not wrong! One of my final boards was around 80% Dr.Nil stuff!DaddyHoggy wrote:I think they need a white or black background as (going back over the magic trickery in the Constore thread) Griff seems to do something to the alpha channel that makes the glow work. If Griff is reading this at some point he may explain...
I think Pangloss did lots of Ad recycling for some of the later sets so you're in good company!
YOUR AD HERE!!! 300 ads (sets A, B, C, D, E, F & G)

The good news are that believe it or not constores are now even more pretty with all those extra ads, moreover the extra billboard is now in a very good spot. Thanks Griff
The bad news are
little sad pacman to Griff: "please griff put me back, why you have turn me upside down". This is defenetly a problem with the model
Moreover
I am not so sure for that
and finally
This is definitely a problem with the texture not the model. In this one pangloss accidently put the ad at the opposite direction but since this ad was invisible until now he was not able to checked it. Disembodied took this glowad texture as a blueprint so the same problem exists in the same ad in Disembodied's glowad set

Those upside down ads aren't such a bad thing, really! After all, they're the only ones perfectly readable when the trading post is showing upside down on the screen, which should happen about 50% of the time if any of you flies anything like the way I do...
Hey, free OXPs: farsun v1.05 & tty v0.5! :0)

I've seen Kaks' flying. It's a lucky day when he can actually navigate through his forward viewscreen.....Kaks wrote:Those upside down ads aren't such a bad thing, really! Set G Asteroid Ad (hopefully).
As mentioned earlier I don't have access to the Oolite-capable PC at the moment so if somebody can test and let me know if its acceptable (will work on store sign and ad-ring in the meantime)

DaddyHoggy it looks great!!!, but I am going to include it in set_F since this set has the same asteroid billboard with set_D. Now every set from A to F have a deferent asteroid billboard .DaddyHoggy wrote:Set G Asteroid Ad (hopefully).
The only reason that I have not posted a screenshot is because in a static screenshot the shader rolling effects cannot be seen so it would be futile to do so.

No worries Ark - I do another foursome for set G - it would seem dark/black backgrounds with bright(ish) main colours seem to work best with the shady billboards so I should be able to do another no problem (technically anyway - RL(tm) notwithstanding).
Just doing a new ad-ring now.
Then two-frame store 'vert.
What else do we need for set G I'm having trouble keeping track...
Cheers,
DH
