Massive Bug makes mission screens defunct (FIXED)

First I started to get crashes to desktop when launching from stations.

The log always had this to say:

Then, suddenly UPS started to malfunction. If I take on a delivery or more complicated mission it doesn't register. And often, the above lines would appear in my log.

I asked Eric as I assumed it was an UPS problem. But now Matt's Galactic Navy has it too! I want to take reserve duty, I want to have a look at the navy's news board - but all I get is the F5 screen and nothing registers.

And again, the above log entry.

I am getting desperate with this - it starts ruining my game now. No idea at all where that bug comes from.

Please don't give me tips like "too many oxps", as my system is running with all this in without slowing down, and I think this error has something to do with some sort of docking or launching or missionscreen check that goes systematically wrong.

Any pointer in a usable direction is welcome.

The log entries are warnings from a javascript that hasn't been updated since 1.72 for the player <--> player.ship divergence.

Player.docked as been depreciated and is now player.ship.docked for example (as the warning says), but at the moment (until 1.73) both should still work, albeit with the warning on the shorter one.

So if you want to find the root cause of the warnings, search all the javascript files (*.js) for player.docked and player.dockedStation and replace them with the ship version (hint, it's not from any of my OXPs as I updated them all).

But I doubt any of this will help with the current issue, as the warnings shouldn't affect gameplay or running.

As i have said before this warning is most likelly generated by the updated (by Kaks) version of black baron oxp and/or hotrods.oxp and as it has been told several times it is just a warning

Thanks, had a look into the two oxps' js. Altered the commands in black baron to the non-deprecated version, hotrods doesn't use those deprecated commands.

I really have no idea what is happening. I will have to do my own variant of "take out everything and put it back in slowly again" again - problem is, that this bug happens erratically and not all the time. I shall see if I can find something and am very much looking forwards to 1.73's error logs that show the oxp path the error originated from ...

EDIT: It is for sure another oxp that creates the problem. Just found a repeatable case: A station, from which, when launching, I am always getting the UPS mission without it registering.

So I created an AddOns folder with only the OSE WiP, my keyconfig.plist, UPS and Galactic Navy in it.

Indeed: The UPS mission registers, and the Galactic Navy Reserve Duty shows up and registers, too!

So Eric's suspicion was correct: Some other oxp than the abovementioned clears the mission screen before a decision can register. But which?

I found the oxp that created the problem, it is not yet publicly available so I am going to inform the author via PM.
