OK ... would this be oxp-able, or would it be nescessary to change the internal workings of Oolite for this (which later I assumed, therefore the unfitting category choice)?

Not sure whether I would want that. On the one hand, SHIFT-D is really only a real-world time-saving shortcut once you have mastered docking, so why not apply it to all stations?

On the other hand I somehow like the idea that life is not always easy, and there are not always shortcuts available.
