"Durr" moment - help - auto-dock

Post by DaddyHoggy »

I always thought that once you had a docking computer you could use shift-D to auto-dock - now while this works with main stations I always thought it also worked with dockable objects in general - however I can't get it to work with the constores or the navy station in the diso.oxp. (don't really mind it keeps up the skills - but sometimes I'm in a hurry and I just want to dock!)

Am I being a numpty? Have I missed something out, or have I mis-remembered?

TIA

Sorry, but no, it only works on main stations... Unfortunately...
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

I had the shift-D work on a Hoopy once, but I'm sure that was some sort of fluke.
Otherwise it's limited to main stations only. Try targeting the station and shift-C instead. It's not instant, but it works.

Did it take you to the hoopy casino screen?
Was there a real main station present when this happened?

Yes.
Hoopys always park just a few k away from a main station, so yes.

To dock with something that isn't a main station the command is "Shift+C". Your ship should begin docking manuvers and music should play while you wait.
