... is defined for a piece of equipment, the equipment piece gets transferred to the newly bought ship, but also its worth is calculated into the cash one has and gets added in addition!
Tried it with the CD, it got transferred five times in a row and I got five times the CD's worth added in addition.
Whoa! Yeah, that's a heck of a bug. Good catch, L.
However, as a cheat it's too little too late. If the native missions are played through their natural progression (Constrictor->Tharg plans->Nova->Cloak), by the time the player has the cloak he's got a fully kitted ship with creds to spare. The old savegame hack for more cash remains the ultimate early game cheat.
Running Oolite buttery smooth & rock stable w/ tons of eyecandy oxps on:
ASUS Prime X370-A
Ryzen 5 1500X
16GB DDR4 3200MHZ
128GB NVMe M.2 SSD (Boot drive)
1TB Hybrid HDD (For software and games)
EVGA GTX-1070 SC
1080P Samsung large screen monitor

That's a bug, if there ever was one.

Meh, noted for the next release.

For my upcoming Oolite Shipyards Extension, those missions will still be unchanged as they are, but some game balance issues will be changed.
Some equipment will be buyable (but much more expensive) that isn't in the core game, and if you can buy additional equipment into the tens of millions credits range (even better ships), cash cheats will never loose their seductiveness.
Because of that I tested this, not expecting to find this behaviour, and it is doubly important for my OSE that this bug is squashed.
