Elite turns 25

Post by wackyman465 »

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this year, Elite/Oolite turns 25... Methinks we should celebrate...
I shot him back first. That is to say, I read his mind and fired before he would have fired on me. No, sir, he wasn't a fugitive.

How do we celebrate? Someone want to do a ship that looks like a big cake with 25 candles?

Make candle flames frangible so you could come along and "blow them out"...

Does anyone know when *exactly* Elite was published?

I thought I was playing it in 1983 not 1984!! ??

Cheers,

Drew.

Methinks we should celebrate anyway. With food, perhaps? I like food, especially chocolate.

Well, really fancy food, like champagne, cheese, crackers, chocolate - wouldn't that be luxuries?

I am a trumble! I will eat your witchspace fuel! I will then eat you, then your ship!

Sadly, your Forum Formatting Damping Field is off-line, thus the Trumble was compessed against the wall, making an unsightly mess. I prefer to show Trumbles like this one: (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o) (0.o)

<EDIT> Ah crap! They're multiplying!!

Well, my Imperial Courier accelerates fairly fast - poor Murphy was squashed against the wall by g-forces...
