succes!!!! for now.....

unless i report otherwise... the culprit seems to be the driver...

I was using the driver designated Vista_8.501-080602a-064989E-ATI downloaded from

HIS - Hightech Information System Limited

Now i´m using the one designated...

Vista_8.43-071016a-054099E-ATI

They just finished a rework of their site, so the drivers where not up for download when i tried to get them the past 14 days.... Mailed them about the issue, but got no reply, so i bet it was a coincidence that they just today or yesterday put them up again for download...

If this stays as it is right now, i´m going to mail them about the problem with the current driver...

Could Ahruman might tell me what exactly i should be reporting that was not working in code terms ?....

Anyway.. if i do not report more, it means it works now, with the older driver...

On a side note, i could´nt download a driver from ATI´s site since they do not support my card with theire drivers... the card version is simply not included in the inf file, and a hack has very unwanted side effects ;-)

at last i can enjoy this

Hi!
I'm using Linux Mandriva 64 bit.
I have some problems with oolite v.1.72...
some text strings can't be displayed...
1) in the cargo-screen (doble F5) do not write the kind and the quantity of cargo, only the total weight...
2) in the setup-screen (F2) do not show the resolution string...
don't kick me!

Can you please remove all OXPs and post the file Latest.log found inside oolite.app/Logs after running the game?

I don't see anything wrong in your log. Do you still have the problems you described even without any OXPs? If yes, please email me screenshots at nikbar2004 at yahoo fullstop com and let me know how exactly you installed the game. I suspect an installation done over an existing one without removing the old installation first.

Maybe you should try v1.72.1.

Well, 1.72.1 has not been officially released for Linux yet. Atm it can only be retrieved from SVN or the Berlios source code tarball. Both cases involve the users building the binaries themselves.
