I don't know if anyone ever did a poll on what sort of systems we've got. Are you playing on a new system, pc or mac? Vote here. I do this to give the developers a clear view of the user base of Oolite.
Think the poll should have slightly more resolution. I'm running on a Laptop (dual core), and it runs fine. It's a fairly high end gaming laptop, but not what you would call a high end system in your poll, so I ticked off for a medium system.

Gimi
Well thats all right. I did 3 voting options to keep it simple
Primarily an AMD 64 4000+ with 2G Ram and AT x800xl works fine ok most of the time. When fighting massive space battles sometimes a little slow. Shaders all on.
Intermittently play on asus eee 901. Doesn't seems to like huge numbers of .oxp's loaded at once. Can be quite a delay after jumping to new systems. Currently I thinking of changing to only playing vanilla Oolite.
The choices run out at the top end... Should prolly be "at least 2GB mem", since I've got 4GB of the stuff... Not that XP knows how to play with it, but Ubuntu does!
I use a last generation iBook G4, 1.2 Ghz with 1GB of RAM.
Though I will be updating to a shiny new MacBook in the next few months (probably). Mostly because it will be easier to deal with work-related stuff. I am still quite satisfied with my machine for personal use.
Silicon Graphics Indigo 2 from 1995. 195 Mhz CPU, 768MB RAM and a 1MB Maximum Impact graphics system, running IRIX 6.5.22. This gets about 15fps in 1.65
Silicon Graphics Onyx RE from 1994. 4 x 195Mhz CPUs, 2GB RAM and 4 x RM5 Reality Monster graphics system, running IRIX 6.5.22. This gets about 50fp in 1.65
and my "normal" kit
Sun Ultra 40, 4 x 2.4 Opterons, 4GB of RAM and an Nvidia QuadroFX 3500 running FreeBSD 7.0. This gets whatever the hell it wants
I only tend to run my current Mac Pro, 2 x quad-core 2.8GHz, 8GB RAM, nVidia 8800GT video nowadays. It takes a lot to disturb the frame rate, which tends to stick at around 59fps, although it does rise to 99 occasionally.
I did used to do regular tests with my dual 2.5 G5 Power Mac, or even my old QS 1.42 G4, but I've been getting lazy!
