Not as much as a re-imagining as Griff's Boa, just a safe update.
Those of you who have been here a while might notice it hasn't changed much since I last posted it about a year ago...............well, you'd be right. I'm posting it again in the hope it'll motivate me to finish!! I've given myself a due date of the end of January 09. Just need to go through Griff's Boa and check out the shaders code and how he uses the specular map - by 'go through' I mean 'rip apart'. Thanks for doing all the hard work Griff
I've also got an Asp in the works.[/img]

Mmm… maybe this’ll motivate me to implement
normal map support in 1.73. :-)

ah, they're actually supposed to be escape pod bays, do you think I've done them too big?

They are actually quite in proportion with the cockpit`s windows, so no imho.

Like the dw cobra, you'll be able to blow bits off - like the cargo bay door.

If you shoot the cargo door off, would it dump it's load?

Will you get 700 cargo pods in there? Fantastic interior by-the-way. More. More!

I'm sure there's a classic Michael Caine line in there somewhere...

“I started with the firm conviction that when I came to the end, I wanted to be regretting the things that I had done, not the things I hadn't.”
oh no you mean: "I said: blow the bloody doors off!"
Canonnically the worm is used as escapepod/shuttle/small defencecraft eg allround utillity craft. and is small enough to be berthed on anacondas in purposebuilt bays.

No.
Unless I make them much smaller, in which case yes.

This conversation seems somehow familiar, as if it was from an old dream, but I can’t quite remember.

Yep. My fault for posting the same thing years later, was it a discussion about the size of the actual Anaconda that time round? (I've decided to stick to the Oolite size btw)
I.....MUST.....FINISH.....THIS......SHIP.
Just had a look at the texture files on Griff's Boa.......hmmmmm, will need to study the shader in detail me tinks
