Rough Guide to the Ooniverse

Thanks for the kind words, guys! I've uploaded a revised version, minus a few typos and with some illustrations and a cover. It can be downloaded from here.

(edit: revised version uploaded after minor edit to make TOGY image match the description. Updated link to box.net.)

I have to say, though, that I don't like your file-host. I couldn't download the PDF without being taken to a lotto-site, and first I wasn't even sure whether I was clicking at the right place anyway. It looked like I would only be taken to that lotto-site.

For myself (and quite a few other Ooliteers) box.net works fine.

Hm. Fair point! I've set up a box.net account: the Rough Guide v1.1 can now be downloaded from here, without any gambling blandishments!

I was on vacation so I couldn't reply. I will finish the famous planets oxp mod soon so that everybody can enjoy the famous planets.

Just read the Tianve entry, what can I say - brilliant!

It is truely superb to see all this background information and 'substance' being added to the Elite universe. Nice work, keep it up!

Hi Pagroove -- looking good! Thanks for adding the map to Zaonce, too. I'm shooting off on holiday for a week now so I'll be offline for a bit. I'll look into expanding the PDF when I get back.

Just made a custom planet description add on in true spirit of the Rough Guide. @Disembodied. These are short parts of your texts adapted for the planet screen.

RESURRECT ENGINE ON

I resurrect this this thread because I'm in need for some background stories on the following planets. for Famous planets v2.

I posted most of them in the screenshots section of the forum already. But here's an overview of all the famous planets yet ( I forgot to include Tionisla in the picture though):

I need this backgrounds for the F7 Famous Planets descriptions but of course one may find the time and inspiration to make a real Rough Guide article.

The planets needed (with no storyline) are:

Atrabiin (no story yet)
Xeerance (no story yet)
Onrira (first torus station but furthermore no story)

Zadies and Sotiqu as well as Larais are featured in varied detail in Multabilis. But I still need a nice F7 description for it.

Anyone got inspiration? Post the story along with a shorter F7 description here.

Sorry, I'm not going to volunteer (too much other stuff to do).

Just want to say that—if it fits—probably some material from the Munchausen thread could be integrated as well. E.g. if you ever want to include Biarge, feel free to look here.
