Limbo of the Lost

Post by Ramirez »

For those modders out there who have hesistated over using the odd texture or sound gathered from the internet, check out the furore over the new PC graphic adventure 'Limbo of the Lost', recently released in N America.

The game has been found to use assets and screenshots from countless FPSs and RPGs, while the developers responsible seem to be on a post-release holiday and cannot be contacted. The game's already been available for sale elsewhere for a few months, and this news has made the original retail copies something of a collectors' item.

It's all over the web now but here's a link http://www.shacknews.com/laryn.x?story=53090

It's a bit of a tragic story, really.

Sorry for the double post - my browser must have got hung up or something. I don't usually make such basic forum mistakes! Can a mod please delete the other thread?

But yeah, someone's in trouble. Could have been a completely cynical rip-off/scam or maybe an artist for hire screwed the developers?

I'm innocent.

Seriously.

Some guys approached me and asked me to get hold of some SFX and textures, no questions asked, a large briefcase filled with low denomination, non-sequential notes in the back seat of the nondescript car parked on the third floor of the carpark opposite.....
Uhhhm, apparently I have to stop typing now, my lawyer says I have an appointment with a Fiftamendi Neuro-Lock.
