iMac and analogue joystick

Ahoi!
Just bought a Logitech Attack 3 USB Joystick.
Is there a chance to use the analogue function, to make the flight feel less digital.
I played Oolite on a PC for a while using a Sidewinder analogue controller and now, beeing thrown back to keyboard, I do just not match my old flyin skills.
A little help would make the Ooniverse a much more challenging place...
