Random Hits and 1.70: Attackers invisible to the scanner

Post by Timm74 »

Hi.

It has been the third or forth time now that I have been attacked right after leaving the Space Bar. Some attackers shot at me which were invisible to the scanner and non-targetable. This only happened after I arrived in Gal 2.

I can shoot them, I can kill them. But why are they invisible to the scanner? Is it a bug or a feature?

Cheers!

Strange! A Cloaked Ship behaves like that, but none of the Random Hits ships have cloaks. What sort of ships were they? IE: Do you know they came from Random Hits?
OXPS : The Assassins Guild, Asteroid Storm, The Bank of the Black Monks, Random Hits, The Galactic Almanac, Renegade Pirates can be downloaded from the Elite Wiki here.

Hi.

Not sure about that. But the ships were visible, i.e. probably not cloaked.

I am not sure where they came from, but they appeared right when I left the Space bar. Maybe a coincidence though.

Last time some Ionics craft were involved (blue lasers), but I also had "standard" craft.

If you say it cannot be Random hits, maybe its a general bug?

Cheers!

Quick question: Have you Anarchies1.0.oxp installed, and what's your legal status?

Bad guys can get attacked by bounty hunters as soon as leaving the station (or leaving witchspace, for that matter). Although the bounty hunters also attack you verbally, so you should easily be able to identify them.
