a little help with trident down WARNING: SPOILERS

Ok, I was told that the test alkrab went messing at ontesoge, so I went there, Looked around, no alkrab, so I docked thinking that mabey they would give me more info: nope. So, I tried this 3 times, still, nothing. So, can I have some help with this?

i can't quite remember but i think you have to look at all the places between where it left and where it was going.

What do you mean? ok, I should give more info. I took of at that one place with the test grounds, and the bacon (joke, Dont want to confuse any one). I share an attion span with my gerbils, so I avoied space lanes. Now, when I got to ontesoge, I searched space lanes, no alkrab. Tried 3 more times, docked, no info or alkrab.

And why are some creaters bais aginsed humans? I mean, We don't get accepted into the academy, and have vary low ranks, I should down that little peace of fiction.

look at all the systems on the hyperspace route betwwn the two places.

Congratulations - you've reached the first big challenge of Trident Down!

You've searched around Ontesoge and can't find any sign of the Alkrab, so what information is there to go on?

1. The Alkrab was heading for Ontesoge as part of a withdrive test.
2. The engines were using controlled misjumps to break the 7ly limit
3. According to everyone at Ontesoge, the Alkrab never arrived
4. Your contact at Jane's suspects that a catastrophic witchdrive malfunction occurred somewhere on the way

Do you know what happens when a witchdrive fails?

Then a malfunction happens, witch may resolt in the following: death, escape, killing bugs, or killing bugs, but not haveing enough fuel to get to safty.

So, I was sopposed to force a mis jump, oops

. I'm one jump away from Ontesoge, so do I go back to the planet were it was built, and force a misjump? Or what?

You're on the right track. Any misjump will do.

Ok, ok, Now I'm mad, really really mad, as mad as space is big. Ok, so I went to that one planet that is spreading democrocy, then I went to the one planet that starts with r. and I raided the station, killed the guys, went back to the main station, and was given 3 options, I picked confront the atu, and it dident mark the system.

You need to go to Dicebe. Although the system isn't marked on the map this information should appear in the briefing and also on the F5 status screen. Do note that as you progress, not all destinations will necessarily be marked on the system map as your information gets less reliable.

Hay,who is stuck again? Thats right, me! Now, lets see here, I was told to help the bombers get some were saiftly, and Lets see here, one group crashed into the planet, and the others are just going nowhere in space, So I get bored and killed them all, and is it the cruisers that I'm procting, or do I kill them. And what are they bombing again?

I'll look into this and check whether or not things are working properly. It's been a while since I tested that particular thread so maybe something strange is going on. Could you let me know what version of Oolite you're running?

Ah, no wonder why you weren't sure what you were meant to be doing! I've got v1.70 up and running on my spiffy new mac now so I'll spend some time checking all the bits and pieces. I have a v0.6 of the mission almost ready to go that should fix some of these issues (the AI wasn't working as well as I planned) and also add some improved elements to the particular thread you're on. Hopefully it won't be long. Thanks for playing!
