Did the Earth move for you?

Post by The Dreamcatcher »

Anyone UK based feel last nights earthquake? It hit here (Creswell, Derbyshire) about 1ish and lasted about 10-15 seconds.
Shit was bouncing round all over the place. When it wakes you up and you're half asleep and can't process things properly it was bloody scary.

BBC news
Quite a big one for the UK then. Also, seems many of the folk over on a couple of other forums I frequent felt it as well in most parts of the country.

Well it didn't wake me up here in North Wiltshire but I did find a few things in the house that had been moved and knocked over.

Either my cat had a restless night or it was the quake.

I'm in Hull and at 12.55 there was a sound and a concussion like a 16-wheeler had sideswiped the house. I was up watching 'Underworld' on Film 4 at the time so I experienced the whole thing while I was wide awake. about 10 seconds of rumbling and rattling and I also got a cracking migrane....
