I traded between a rich industrial and poor agricultural using a OOHaul to buy my super cobra it was only 15000cr more than the Cobra Mk3 and has a 150 ton cargo bay.

On the other hand no weapons other than an energy bomb no fuel scoop so I had to run away a lot

You can also make money by shooting the cargo boxes on a OOHaul for computers.

Just now, after several days and hours and hours of playing, figuring out what Shift-D does. <sigh> :)

You may often find space debris and flotsum in the space lanes left over from a conflagration, and it's also worth having a quick check on your scanner when you arrive at the Corriolis, to see if there are any more random white dots about, these might be escape capsules with a potential insurance payout of up to 500cr.
