Hi, LionUkPlayer, and welcome to the boards and of course to this great game!LionUkPlayer wrote:please any idea when goto dock and press any new key to make auto into dock, that helpful for us....

May I complete Hoopy's answer? The key to activate the docking computer, if you have bought one and are seeing the big 'S' on the screen, is 'C'. This makes the autopilot take over and fly you to the station.
Alternatively you can use 'SHIFT-D', which will make you dock instantly, without slowly approaching the station. Although this costs 20 minutes of game-time, which you will usually not need for manual docking.
Your docking computer also works with any other dockable ship or rock hermit. You just have to select the ship or station you want to dock with as your target. Then you have to press 'SHIFT-C', and your docking computer takes over as in the first case.
In all cases you can abandon the docking sequence and regain manual control by pressing 'C'.
More general: You find information on all the keys in the ReadMe-file that came with the game. The ReadMe is always the first place to look at!
More information is available on the Oolite-pages of the Elite Wiki. You should perhaps start with the Instruction Manual and the FAQ's. From there you will find a lot of useful links, for instance to the keyboard controls page, which lists all the available keys and their use.

Of course, if you're finding it tricky to get enough credits together to buy a docking computer, you could download and install the "M-Pack (rusties)" OXP (there's a table of OXPs and download links here). You can then trade in your new but unequipped Cobra III for an older, slightly used ship and use the extra cash to fit a docking computer and other goodies.

Or, if you don't mind your soul being a collateral, you can borrow from the Black Monks...
You know those who, having been mugged and stabbed, fired, dog run over, house burned down, wife eloped with best friend, daughters becoming prostitutes and their countries invaded - still say that "all is well"?
I'm obviously not one of them.
