I did manage to one mini Q bomb cascade of about 5 ships, but it was all too far out to do anything very helpful. It seems that if you're close enough in to damage anything then the satellites take out the Q bomb first.

i can think of a few more ideas but they involve rather accurate timing - am I on the right track?

(I'm assuming i don't need any non-standard weapons - just some combination of my ship, lasers, missiles, energy bombs and q bombs)

Nope. Not special equipment, but Fuel Injectors are a must.:wink:

i just did the mission against the governor. When I arrived in system there was a big mixture of ships and a few laser bursts at me so I injected out of there.

Once I had a bit of breathing space I looked for a T in the space compass and when off to find the governor. Then I just walked in there, fired off a full slave of missiles and shot him (took a full burst from all 4 lasers) until he died.

No one shot at me once...

Shouldn't it be a little harder? ;)

It is proabley easier than the previous mission, but still fairly taxing. The fleet of Cruisers should attack on sight! Each has 4 Plasma Cannons and the Scorpions and Mongoose fighters have Military Lasers. Are you on 1.70? Ahruman has said there is a bug with the attack AI in the new version that sometimes makes ships very tardy about firing. Last time I playtested it they were fireing.

I'm still on 1.69.1. I'm pretty sure I didn't see any lasers or plasma cannons.

I did notice that when i first jumped into the other battle (purple system vessels and yellow ships) my cloaking device appeared to work as I saw my energy going slowing down. But I think it was just the game catching up as a couple of seconds later my energy zipped back up and it wouldn't turn on again. So I injected out of there. I wonder if I managed to confuse things have the cloaking device on before it got removed. Then it didn't know to turn itself off and didn't know to use up any energy...?

I just gave it another go. They did at least fire on me as bit this time. But not until I'd loosed 5 missiles and fired a good half a front laser into it.

It may be that they're fairly well spaced out so no many were within 25km (or whatever) to see me until I hit the main ship. By then the missiles were on their way and laser burst was causing more damage as it can't really dodge. So it was easy to finish off after that.

Maybe they need more escorts? You get more money than the last mission so it should be harder! :)

If you jumped in cloaked then you'd stay cloaked even with the script removing it. The Deamons are only really dangerous at fairly close range as their main weapons are the turrets. I wrote this mission over a year ago, but the Get the Missile and Balrog missions I wrote for the V1 release. Really the order should be the other way round as I made the Balrog mission very tough. They should still put up a fair fight though, as there are al lot of Scorpions and Mongoose Fighters with the fleet.

I got a new problem.

My recent mission in Galaxy 7 as a member of assasins guild is to destroy
the Malfunction Battlebot Control Drone.

But the drones are undestroyable and I have no idea how to find the mother-drone.

Is anybody out there who can help me out?
