I'm also developing an ethernet card for the Spectrum (complete with shadow ROM to hold the socket library and a few programs, and some extra memory). Hopefully have the first few prototypes going by the Speccy's 26th anniversary!
Then onto making a version for the BBC Micro (which hopefully may be somewhat easier, given the BBC's in-built support for paged ROMs)
