Hi,
I've got to the first mission, followed the hints to galaxy 2 and now there's no hints, is this right, have I cocked up?

Also I can't find anywhere to buy the 47 grand naval energy unit I wanted!

Hi Jim -- welcome to the boards! I assume you're currently doing the Constrictor mission? Check the F7 planet info screen to see if you can get any information on sightings of strange ships in the area (visiting systems in the top right corner of the Galaxy 2 map is a good place to start looking).

As for the Naval Energy Unit: you can only buy these (from TL 15 systems) when you complete the (native) Thargoid Plans mission -- this takes place in Galaxy 3. You must have more than 1281 kills. You can buy a new ship with a NEU installed (you'll notice the big boost in the buying price) but you can't take it with you if you trade ships again. Once you complete the Thargoid Plans mission, though, the Navy will allow you to buy a new one.

Yes, that's the one (constrictor mission). I'll do that, I just wasn't sure if it was an evil trick sending me to another galaxy or something!

I saw the NEU for sale, but I've been saving up for it for ages, damn, just have to fight my way for it! Had it on the old amiga version, pretty useful.

I'd just like to say thanks for writing this, not been properly gaming since civ2 and unreal tournament!
