Must be un-restricted!

Giles started the ball rolling with the basic game, but even the Lord Giles added OXPs and it was part of his Holy Plan that Elite nerds would go forth and multiply with OXPs to the basic game!

Most of us OXPer stay true to the path of right, and only add OXPs that are in the spirit of Elite and your missing out on a lot if you don't use OXPs. The fact that Giles had the foresite to make his creation user moddable was a stoke of genious. The idea of the project is that we all contribute to the OOnivise!
OXPS : The Assassins Guild, Asteroid Storm, The Bank of the Black Monks, Random Hits, The Galactic Almanac, Renegade Pirates can be downloaded from the Elite Wiki here.

Unrestricted!!

If you don't collect and/or make an unhealthy amount of OXPs, then you're denying yourself one of the most important features of Oolite.

Diehard purists are free to disagree, of course.
Running Oolite buttery smooth & rock stable w/ tons of eyecandy oxps on:
ASUS Prime X370-A
Ryzen 5 1500X
16GB DDR4 3200MHZ
128GB NVMe M.2 SSD (Boot drive)
1TB Hybrid HDD (For software and games)
EVGA GTX-1070 SC
1080P Samsung large screen monitor

I never would play "Resticted". By the way, it's called "strict gameplay". I never used it (and it's broken anyway, isn't it?).

An early exit poll suggests in this case a landslide for non strict play.
It's a fine line between clever and stupid
