Converting Wings 3D files to OOlite on PC

Hi, new to the forums and getting back into oolite.

I run oolite on WinXP and I'm dabbling with ship design in Wings3D but how do you convert to the dat format used by oolite? The drop app seems to be mac only.

Is there any programs to do this on PC?

Ah, I did not see there was a python script. Means I have to get python. do you need anything else for the PC to use this script.

Full PC requirements for shipbuilding:

Wings 3D

Graphics application that can save in PNG format

Python installation

Notepad (or Wordpad)

Time.

I don't have any of them. I just nick other people's ideas and screw around with them.
