Text Remaining

Not sure if this is a bug. But the yellow text that appears on screen during an action like Witchspace or camera shift doesnt always go. The only way to clear it is to keep hitting the F keys. Anyone else experiencing this?

The sticky messages bug is a well known problem. I'm afraid.

Dr. Nil even gave up playing because of it.

Which is a great shame, because in the grand scheme of things, it's just inconvenient!

text problem

I found a solution to this: I press R and U key alternatively until the garbage text is gone -- it is pushed to the upper side of the screen by the new text messages, which dissapears pretty quickly.

Hi, Casian! Welcome to the boards and to this great game!

Changing views (back, forward, back, forward and so on) in another way to get rid of the sticky messages. In fact, everything that brings new text to the display will work.

But there are still some people who find this too annoying. And there seem even to be some cases (especially for PCs) in which it doesn't work at all.

In some cases, when there are multiple messages being generated (hyperspace countdown, sun-skimming) switching between foreward/aft or R/U results in a screen full of sticky 'Hyperspace to XX' or 'Fuel Scoop Active' messages......

Personally, I blame my ship's AI. The thing's so obsessive it constantly likes to remind me that there's a 'Missile Incoming', even after I've successfully ECM'd it.
