Terrific. What about the stolen military craft?

Post by rjch »

Its a terrific game. The graphics are a little jerky on my macbook.

I love wandering about shooting down offenders. But I am in galaxy 2 looking for the stolen military craft. I must have destroyed scores of hydras and basilisks and rattlers and what not. I've destroyed about 500 craft since I got the call. How long does this senseless destruction of human, reptile and insect life have to continue I wonder? Do I have to capture their escape pods before it is accounted a success?

And I've no clue how to find the planet where the hideous Leviathon factory is skulking. Does the military even send you a message of hope or disappointment? Any clues?

You will definitely get a message telling you of the offending craft, and will need to wander around a bit and track it down before the conclusion of that mission!
Very funny, Scotty, now beam down my clothes...

I asked the very same thing some time ago.

It turns out that when you hyperspace to the second galaxy, you don't arrive in the same system as the military ship. You need to fly around a bit, checking each planet's information (F7). Sooner or later you'll see a notice that a strange ship was seen in this system and then jumped out to XXX. You need to follow it to XXX and repeat. After a number of calls you should arrive in a system which says that the ship is still there. All you have to do then is kill it.

I didn't get any tips of the whereabouts of the stolen Levaithan, I just ran into it on a trade trip - quite profitable! Good mission good game.....

Thank you for the reassurance Killer Instinct.

I got a message subsequently telling me that the military had failed to overcome the evil leviathon, and that it had skipped to some planet unknown, but asking me to redouble my efforts. Which I did.

I am searching and searching everywhere in Galaxy 2. My heart lept when I saw one leviathon, but it was a military vessel.

Then in one planet I exploded about 15 offenders, then decided to follow a galcop. It then stopped in mid-space and its lights went off. I gave it a gentle nudge with the tip of my ship. Nothing. Then a polite blast from a laser. Suddenly everyone is shooting at me and I am an offender and persona non grata there and in surrounding planets. So much for gratitude for doing all that work.

Yeah Police ships have a habit of doing this, like lying wait for someone! NB not a good idea to shoot at Gal Cop! You'll recognise the stolen ship when you come across it.

Gotcha!

And a very thoughtful reward as well.
