Deposed Mission
Lost again it would seem. I think this is the second to or last mission OXP I've yet to complete. It seems to have got stuck. I've met the Captain but forgot the planet name I was supposed to go to (didn't appear on F5 F5 screen). I went to Bien and collected the passenger and then dropped him off. I was also summoned to the law where I was stripped of reward for said passenger also finding out he's not what he appeared to be! What next? My F5 F5 screen still shows that I've to meet the captain on Geblisso? Has given me time to trade ships and do numerous cargo runs for loads of cash - enough to get the coveted Tiger1. Currently hanging around Bien gaining Offender status reguarly for shooting at the Bien Navy Interceptors. Though I stay clean if they fire first. Somebody please find my brain and some direction!

Can do. If you are playing any mission (native or OXP), you'll need to take out Thargoid Wars OXP and (unless you've finished it) Military OXP.
Its the old mission briefing screen clash problem. Thargoid Wars is not a mission that ends, so will always try to put up mission briefings. If the Mission you are playing trys to put up a briefing at the same time that Thargoid Wars uses the mission screen to send you out to defend the station, then you miss the briefing from the mission and only see the Thargoid Wars breifing.
Most desginers have got round the mission clash briefing by setting their mission in a particular galaxy (where they know no other OXP or missions are running) or making it a condition that the mission runs that other missions (which would have clashed) have been completed. Military will however run in every galaxy (until you finish it) and Thargoid Wars will run in every Galaxy except 1, whatever other OXPs are doing.
Your progress in Thargoid Wars is stored in your save file though, so if you take it out and put it back in once you've finished the mission your playing, you can pick up your Bug-squashing where you left off.

Cheers LB! I think this may be the problem. I'm playing Deposed and met Curruthers who sent me to Teance. When I get to Teance nothing happens. My F5 F5 screen shows that I've still got to meet Curruthers on Geblisso and to collect Drile from Bien. Having started this mission twice I kind of know the concequences of collecting Drile. I'm going to remove Thargoid wars OXP and traces from my save file and see if I can continue with Deposed. I'll report back

Do you have the Tridant Down OXP installed. Both are modding Dicebe, so that could be a problem.
Have you picked him up and taken him to see his accountant? Remember you must have a passanger cabin fitted to pick him up. Once he's safley with his accountant you should see a news broadcast after a bit.
PM me your save-file variables for deposed and I'll have a look.
EDIT:
Looked at the Script and I think I know what your problem is:-
Assassins uses a jumpcounter to delay events. IE after a certain number of jumps (simulating time) an "event" will happen. Deposed however, does the same trick by setting as a condition that planetnumber is > or < X.
However, this does mean if you jump between the same two planets then it is POSSIBLE that you will NEVER trigger the next event. Eg if you are trading between PN 8 and PN 32 and the OXP was waiting for planetnumber > 40 you would never meet the condition for the News Broadcast to appear. Fly around a few differnent systems, never going to the same place twice once you have dropped him off and you should make progress. Dock at every system you arrive at.

HANG ON!
"Curruthers" and the "Teance" System feature in the LOVECATS mission!!!!!
My guess is LoveCats started running and caused you to miss a Deposed Briefing. No wonder you're confused!
Take LoveCats out of Addons. Play through Deposed and then put it back in.
Delete all the LoveCats variables from your save file and start again with Deposed. I'll add a warning to the OXP mission page.
DON'T INSTALL ALL THE GALAXY 4 MISSIONS IN ONE GO. INSTALL ONE, PLAY IT THEN INSTALL ANOTHER!

Cant really be helped. The code can cope with it, its more that the Commander can't!!!! "hi commander, can you rescue some felines", press space and just about to buy some fuel and Incoming Message "hi commander can you pick me up from X". You COULD try to do them all at once, but be more fun to play one at a time.

This bug has now been fixed (See the Mission Offering thread). I will be uploading some tweaked versions of some OXPs to stop the clash, but in the meantime, its best to play 1 mission OXP at a time.

I'm still looking for black pirates @Edorqu. Found the most likley system with reports of mass wipeout of Anaconda and support craft not three hours before I jetted into said space. Still looking for the black pirates. Have a PIRATE5 rating in the save file don't know wether the masses of police craft assembled in said system have blown them up? Still looking for the black pirates. There is a definate trend in this thread. Still looking for the black pirates. Still looking for the black pirates. Does anyone catch my drift? Still looking for the black pirates. Help please... Still looking for the black pirates.
