Counting kills?

Post by Boogieman »

Is there any information about how many kills I have? It seems like some of you know your killcount. How do you count them?

Great game. Thanx a bunch.

It would be nice to have it as part of your Current Status info page in the game, where it has your rating say in brackets ie

Rating: Deadly (2560)

That's a good idea. Anyone second it?

I stubbornly refuse to fourth it because it didn't show you that info in the original Elite and therefore must be a desecration of said sacred cow. Even though there isn't really any sound reason for not showing the user that particular information, other than it'll take away the element of suprise for the next "Right On Commander".

Oh ok, bugger it... I fourth it! (if you say that fast, sounds a bit like forfeit... depending on your accent of course!)

May I suggest that it be added as an option on the 'save/load/option' screen? Then everybody's happy. :)

The number of kills is in Xelite on the status page.

Is there anybody here who has played both Xelite and Oolite, it would be interesting to see how they compare. Xelite IMHO is the dogs bollocks, but then I haven't tried Oolite yet

I'm a really poor space pilot, unable to shoot down ennemy vessel, but I have a very good score.

In fact, counting asteroids for "ships kill" give good result !

PS: And I'm very bad with my english, but it's not my "mother language".
