Comm Log?

Post by elite »

Hi all.

I am trying to access my comm log.
I see that in the user guide plus the keyconfig file that the key to push is ~

Although I have changed the key to # it still don't work.

Am I assuming that when you push the # key that a record of your messages, ect... appears at the top of the screen? because if it does, mind don't work.

Thank you.

Gotta hold ¬ down to see it. Changing it to # might not work as this is used to toggle targets on the Advanced Space Compase.

I think this is a UK keyboard thing as the ~ key on the US keyboard is actually the `¬¦ key on UK keyboards (to the left of the number line).

mine appears when I press the ' ` ' key which is what I take they mean when they say the ~ key...(as in I don't use the shift key when I press the ~ key)...but I run v1.65 on Ubuntu...so it might be different for other versions or other OS's

as far as I know the non-number keys on the keypad (excluding + and -) are not used (including enter and I don't think zero is used either) and if you're like me and use the number pad to manuver it might be convenient to assign one of those to the comm log (might have to try that one myself actually...
