Does anyone else have a problem with some of the HUD text sticking when it should have cleared?

It doesn't happen all the time but sometimes test like "Fuel Injectors Engaged" will stay on screen. The only way I have found to clear it is to keep changing views until other text pushes it off the screen.

This is a very old and common bug. I don't know if it's been fixed yet or when it will be.

I have version 1.65 I think (whatever the Ubuntu FiestyFawn Autopackage is) and I've only had it occur once...and that was when my computer was under a lot of stress as a result of a Torus station exploding...(it's probably worth mentioning that I almost never use the Beryl window manager and instead use metacity...I can imagine the possibility of problems arising as a result of beryl running as it's still not entirely stable...[which is the reason I say 'that'll happen when they release a stable version of beryl' instead of 'when pigs fly' haha...])

I can't be 100% certain of this, but I think I get more sticky messages in XP than in Ubuntu (1.65 both times 'cos I'm in the middle of Assassins).

It's an old bug, very well documented.

To clear it switch views a few times and it will scroll it down out of the way.
