Map dump key control

Post by Wiggy »

If you wan to dump the text file of the galaxy data, and chart of the routes, you press ! (shift - 1).

However, if you have the Advanced Navigational Array installed, that keypress is taken by the ARA. Obviously, the solution is to redsefine the keys, but it would be good if the defaults were adjusted?
You came in that? You're braver than I thought!

The galaxy data dump was removed when the ARA was introduced. The data is available on the wiki.

However, for entirely different reasons, the default key mapping has been changed from ! to & for future releases.

The '&' key does not seem to work under Windows. It brings up the planet information screen (as if the Shift key is being ignored) and no Nav Array is available. Could we maybe redefine it to ',' or even better 'N'?

How annoying.

, is the default for key_yaw_left. I suppose n would work.

Just make sure it is the capital N, as the lower case one is reserved on the galactic map screen for planet finding.

Good point. I knew there was a reason I didn’t like using a letter key there…

Hmm. If & doesn’t work, did !?

I’m of half a mind to use the same key as the Advanced Space Compass.

Edit: on closer inspection, no key works in the current build. (Also, all this time I meant ^, not &. The latter is shift-6 on a Swedish keyboard…)
