I'm trying to burn a video DVD with iDVD 5.0.1. (I filmed it myself, so this is not piracy.) Since I plan on burning several, I'm trying to save a disc image of it, and use Disk Utility to burn from the disc image. However, iDVD keeps crashing during the encoding process, and I'm frustrated. Does anyone know what is going on, and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks in advance.

Could be so many things... You should ask this on a forum more focussed on DVDs in general to get a good response.
But, a couple of things occur to me:
1) is the video long enough? Sometimes those encoders get bugged if you have a lot of clips that are under 5 minutes long.
2) is your computer good enough? Sometimes the graphics card (or whatever does the processing) may overheat and simply give you the bluescreen at some point).
3) have other encoding projects worked with the same program? Try something different to make sure that the source file is not bugged.
