Moving over

Post by lolwhites »

I currently have dual boot XP/Ubuntu. Oolite is installed on both; so far I've always played it in Windows but am using Ubuntu more and more, so I'll want to move everything over soon.

My question is, can I just copy the oxps and saved games across from my Windows partition, or do I have to download everything again?

You should be able to copy them over.

If you really wanted to you could symlink the proper directories to your windows partition. If you're using vfat, no problem. If you're using ntfs, ntfs-3g just hit version 1.0 (full read-write support). I used to do something like this for Firefox and Thunderbird, until I said goodbye to XP (now it runs in a virtual machine).
