I think the topic name is obvious enough. I can't seem to be able to take a screenshot, asterisk is the right button? Is it enabled in Linux Oolite? Oh and where would said screenshot go?
Cheers

Press *
If you are up to date, it saves it to oolite-saves.
If you are not up to date, it will probably crash (if you installed as root) or it will save it in the oolite.app directory.

Got it, shift + 8. I was trying the asterisk on the numpad, totally forgot about the 8 key, D'OH!

Is it possible to take screenshots on less quality?
got some bitmaps, about 2,5MB....quite heavy, jpgs would be enough.
Ok, I can resave them on lower quality with a pic-programm, but do i have to or is there a possibility to take smaller screenshots?
So we could host them e.g. on imageshack.us and show off together here

Taking a screenshot crashed my oolite 1.65 (have take a few in advance without problems)
if I take a screenshot in a station, the image is nearly black and white and sheared by
45 degree. Feature or bug?
My plan has been to get the prices of goods with an ocr and not need to retype them.

Why dont you just press [print screen] and make it through OS?
